The United Empowerment Party (UEP) is a federally recognized political party dedicated to first uniting the cannabis industry to protect small businesses along the supply chain from being pushed out by large corporations, excessive taxes and other regulatory conditions that make access limited to those who are economically disadvantaged.
This can be accomplished by electing candidates who support non-partisan expansion of the cannabis industry through research and development. UEP wants to promote the equitable creation of jobs as we seek regulations that will encourage education, scientific advancement and community engagement that ultimately contributes to economic growth for ALL.
UEP works with both the federal government and with state governments to provide for fair and equitable policy and legislation within the cannabis industry. UEP values voters and candidates alike regardless of current political affiliation who provide diverse ideas and inclusive solutions for unshackled cannabis access. We believe that by embracing the community's needs that we can rethink how to create change to a system that has continually failed those that are economically challenged.
The United Empowerment Party holds these seven principles as a guide for all the decisions we make and for all the actions we take.
Access to the cannabis plant and the industry must be fair and equitable for all. UEP seeks to use social justice to improve planning, decision-making, and resource allocation leading to more socially equitable policies.
UEP seeks the normalization of cannabis-related art, movies, TV shows, and radio programs. We encourage cannabis enthusiasts to cultivate relationships with others who will build the cannabis community.
Cannabis consumers who have been imprisoned due to use or distribution must be released from custody. Criminal records must be expunged and sealed. The term "marijuana" must be replaced with "cannabis" in all laws.
All phases of cannabis growth, distribution, research, and development must be made publicly available to stakeholders as equitably as possible. UEP advocates for equal access for all.
UEP will work with medical research companies, universities, and institutions to provide funding for programs that enhance the efficacy and sustainability of the cannabis plant.
UEP promotes environmentally conscious growing conditions and techniques, and the growth of cannabis-related plants such as hemp for paper products, clothing, and other uses.
UEP does not discriminate based on race, religious creed, sex, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, political affiliation, sexual orientation, or gender identity. All stakeholders have a voice.
We've had the pleasure of working with stakeholder groups in the Public and Private sector within multiple states, including both New York and New Jersey. In doing so, we are anticipating upcoming conversations with federal government officials, to begin building the right framework for interstate relations as it pertains to cannabis.
This number also strongly and disproportionately affects Black and Brown communities. No one should be in jail for cannabis, period. Those who don't see the problem are part of the problem. Stand with us and be an arm of the solution. United, we are far more powerful than we've been led to believe by major parties grasping their self serving status quo.
With you by our side we have an actual chance to make necessary changes. The major political parties have spent hundreds of billions of tax payer dollars to convince all of us that we are powerless without them and their gamed agendas. We were naïve and believed that's how progress happened. Now we know better and are united and more empowered than ever to take back our country.
In an effort of doing something other parties fail to do, offer transparency, these are companies and organizations that have supported us, our message and stand with us in our fight.
