Our Vision

UEP works with both the federal government and with state governments to provide for fair and equitable policy and legislation within the cannabis industry. UEP values voters and candidates alike regardless of current political affiliation who provide diverse ideas and inclusive solutions for unshackled cannabis access. We believe that by embracing the community’s needs that we can rethink how to create change to a system that has continually failed those that are economically challenged. UEP wants to unite our country around issues that affect us all instead of focusing on what divides us by utilizing cannabis as a conduit of unification.

Collaboration

The United Empowerment Party (UEP) is a federally recognized political party dedicated to first uniting the cannabis industry to protect small businesses along the supply chain from being pushed out by large corporations, excessive taxes and other regulatory conditions that make access limited to those who are economically disadvantaged. This can be accomplished by electing candidates who support non-partisan expansion of the cannabis industry through research and development. UEP wants to promote the equitable creation of jobs as we seek regulations that will encourage education, scientific advancement and community engagement that ultimately contributes to economic growth for ALL.

Our Values

The United Empowerment Party holds these seven principles as a guide for all the decisions we make and for all the actions we take.

Help us Bring
the Change we Need

With you by our side we have an actual chance to make necessary changes. The major political parties have spent hundreds of billions of tax payer dollars to convince all of us that we are powerless without them and their gamed agendas. We were naïve and believed that's how progress happened. Now we know better and are united and more empowered than ever to take back our country.

Our Work

Community Impact

We’ve had the pleasure of working with stakeholder groups in the Public and Private sector within multiple states, including both
New York and New Jersey. In doing so, we are anticipating upcoming conversations with federal government officials, to begin building the right framework for interstate relations as it pertains to cannabis.

For The People

What It's All About

Equity Empowerment

Equity Empowerment is a solution based approach to what has been coined as “social equity” in the cannabis industry. It is the concept of building people by empowering them with effective tools, resources, and education that encourages ownership. The Equity Empowerment model creates a multifaceted strategy towards positive change in communities, mostly Black and Brown, that have been disproportionately harmed by the failed war on drugs. Due to the complexity of this issue, which is largely systemic, there is no “one size fits all” approach to addressing the root cause. Equity Empowerment is about strengthening communities and creating spaces for collaboration and innovative ideas that come directly from the people. Culture is the driving force behind a community, and its impact can be defined in the conditions within their environment. Taking an in depth look at the culture of a community, helps give a better understanding of the people there and the immediate surroundings. Equity Empowerment is actionable, while social equity has become consistent conversations without an actual plan, or clear definition of what it truly is. Social equity only focuses on the problem, while equity empowerment addresses the problem and provides the solution.

Restorative Justice

Taking an intentional approach to restore the harm done to Black and Brown communities due to over-policing, mass incarceration for criminal possession of cannabis and the weaponization of cannabis as an extension of the war on drugs.

  What does this entail?

  • Developing a comprehensive plan to approaching restorative measures.

  • What roles can cannabis play in reshaping the re-entry & rehabilitation process?

  • Creating community safe spaces to facilitate the healing process needed.

  • Educational opportunities & training development for law enforcement.

Bridging The Gap For Legacy

A Path Forward

Change IS NOT easy. We know that. But change IS necessary. And we WILL NOT stop until we do everything we can to restore justice.

  • Creating retroactive programs for legacy operators to transition into the legal space.
  • Utilizing an existing workable model that can be applied to the NY market, and beyond.
  • Building on a new legacy for NYC and other states that are community centric.
  • Addressing the immediate need for cannabis education, mentorship and business incubators.

Beyond Bud: Limitless Possibilities

The ongoing issues that plague NYC, negatively impact the city’s plans for recovery. In the cannabis industry there are limitless opportunities within the ancillary space.

The ancillary side of cannabis can provide immediate and long term solutions to issues such as gun violence, public safety, emergency response, and crisis management through applied technologies, piloting, and product development.

This area of cannabis can be much more cost effective than obtaining a license for a retail dispensary, cultivation facility, laboratory or manufacturing.

39550
(Estimated)

Non-violent inmates, in prison for Cannabis

This number should be “0.” This number also strongly and  disproportionately affects Black and Brown communities. No one should be in jail for cannabis, period. Those who don’t see the problem are part of the problem. Stand with us and be an arm of the solution. United, we are far more powerful than we’ve been led to believe by major parties grasping their self serving status quo.
